Christine Gostowski is the newly appointed Registrar and Collections Manager at the Fisk University Galleries. Christine is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation. She earned a Master of Arts degree and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation from SUNY Buffalo State, The State University of New York in 2012, specializing in paintings conservation. Prior to working for the Fisk Galleries, Christine had her own practice and worked as a paintings conservator for conservation studios in Chicago. Her graduate and post-graduate internships included: The Williamstown Art Conservation Center in Massachusetts, The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, Indiana University Art Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art in D.C., and The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. Christine is very excited to work with students and the gallery team to serve Fisk University and its incredible collection of fine art and artifacts.
